Carefully open the box, there is a do-not-open this side icon on the wrong side. Assemble the monitor using the instructions.

Connect the power cable and the HDMI cable.

Position the monitor and laptop like this *

Open Settings by right-clicking on the Start button and search rearrange.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and make sure Extend these displays is selected.

Copy this arrangement, and make sure that further down the page you are extending the displays:

You should now be able to place the laptop in front of and below the monitor and move the mouse between screens vertically.

* If you prefer an alternate positioning of your monitors, just make sure the diagram matches the physical environment.
