Adjusting the mouse settings

If you find you're having trouble with a mouse, a few checks you can do before requesting a new one:

If it's a wired USB mouse, restart your PC and follow the following steps to give you the best chance of locating the mouse:

In the search box, type mouse settings and open that:

 you can reduce the cursor speed to help you track its movements. Follow on to Adjust mouse & cursor size

Copy these settings, this makes the pointer more visible when moving the mouse on your desk. Go back to the previous screen by clicking Additional mouse settings on the right side of the screen under Related settings.

Open the Additional mouse options to enter this settings window. Select the Pointer Options tab:

Copy these settings and click OK. You will then be able to see where the mouse is much clearer, if it disappears, you can hit the Ctrl button on your keyboard to locate the pointer on screen.

If your mouse continues to disappear it will probably be a display issue.
